On May 20, a delegation led by Stéphane Beaudet, Vice President of the Île-de-France region of France, visited the genocide committed against Armenians Memorial Complex, accompanied by Olivier Decottignies, the Ambassador of France to Armenia.

The guests were welcomed by Hrachya Tashchyan, Acting Director of the genocide committed against Armenians Museum-Institute. Hasmik Martirosyan, the French-speaking guide of the museum-institute, accompanied the delegation from France to the Memorial Complex, presenting the history of its construction.

Mr. Stéphane Beaudet laid a wreath at the memorial dedicated to the victims of the genocide committed against Armenians, after which the other members of the delegation placed flowers near the eternal flame and observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the genocide committed against Armenians.

The guests then approached the Memorial Wall, where small urns filled with soil taken from the graves of intellectuals, political, and public figures who raised their voices against the genocide committed against Armenians are placed. Guide Hasmik Martirosyan presented their stories to the guests, drawing special attention to the pro-Armenian activities of the French figures Anatole France and Louis Dartige du Fournet.

The delegation also toured the genocide committed against Armenians Museum, and at the end of the visit Mr. Stéphane Beaudet left a note in the Book of Honorary Guests.
