EU Spokesman for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Peter Stano made a statement on the occasion of the 1st anniversary of the trilateral agreement between Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia on ending the 44-day war in Artsakh

    As it transmits”Armenpress”, the statement notes that the EU regrets the human losses during the hostilities and expresses condolences to the families of all the dead and wounded.

    “Despite the fact that hostilities have been stopped, nevertheless, there are still many urgent issues that need to be resolved so that we can move towards a negotiated and stable settlement. In particular, we call for strict observance of the ceasefire, the immediate release of all captives, full cooperation in the issue of mine clearance and to ease tensions on the border. The European Union continues to remain committed to promoting peace and prosperity in the South Caucasus,” the spokesman said in a statement.
