Russia and Turkey have agreed not to make any statements about the joint production of components of S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this at a press conference in Ankara.

In 2017, Russia and Turkey signed an agreement on Moscow’s supply of S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems to Ankara. Thus, Turkey became the first of the NATO member countries to buy these systems from Russia. This decision by Ankara caused a negative reaction from both the United States and the North Atlantic Alliance. Since December 2020, the United States has imposed sanctions against Turkey
