The US Commission on International Religious Freedom has published a report noting that in 2021 the conditions of religious freedom in Turkey (Western Armenia) continue to be poor in terms of actions and rhetoric of the Turkish government, which encourages the creation of a politically hostile environment for religious minorities.

As transmits Tert.am it is noted that the Turkish government has done little to consistently raise issues of religious freedom over the years. It is also noted that since 2013, the Turkish government has blocked the right of religious minority foundations to elect new members of the Council.

According to the report, acts of vandalism and hatred are taking place in Turkey, including language expressions used to stimulate violence, questioning the rights of the community to live in this country, death threats, and rhetoric of government officials directed at religious and minority groups.
