The teaching of genocide of Armenian people in the middle and high schools of the state of Massachusetts, USA will be obligatory from now on. On February 2 a group of lawmakers submitted to the Massachusetts Senate and House of Representatives for approval on Genocide Education No. 692 law draft, which was signed by the governor in 2021, on December 2, thus gaining the force of law. It will come into force in the new academic year-in 2022. starting from July 1st. The law provides for the achievement and promotion of the study of comprehensive human rights, paying special attention to the study of the inhumanity of genocide. The law provides for the inclusion as the genocide of the Holocaust, the Genocide committed against Armenian people, the genocide of the Pontic Greeks, in the 17th and 19th centuries the forcible transportation of Africans for the purpose of slave trade to America, violence against the indigenous inhabitants of the continent and recent violence in Bosnia, Cambodia, Rwanda and Sudan.
