The work that has begun to clean Lake Van of Western Armenia from pollution with the arrival of spring has received a new scope. After the launch of the treatment plant, Lake Van got rid of the threats of pollution. The silt on the floor, formed from sewage, gave off an unpleasant smell.

As the weather warmed, the cleaning of silt at the bottom of the lake intensified. As a result of the thorough cleaning carried out for months by the Environmental Protection and Control Department, 121 thousand cubic meters of sludge have been cleaned so far.
