Gabriel Sargsyan, a member of the Armenian men’s chess team, became the vice-champion of the individual European Chess Championship. In the last round of the individual European Chess Championship in Slovenia, Gabriel Sargsyan shared a point with the representative of Spain Latasa Santos. 

Having scored 8.5 points out of 11 possible, Gabriel Sargsyan became the vice-champion of the European Chess Championship. German Martias Bluba became the winner of the tournament. This year the individual European Chess Championship was held in the Slovenian city of Brezice. It consisted of 11 rounds.
