The picture of the Azerbaijani user shows that in the village of Banants (before 1990), the Armenian Church of St. Astvatsatsin, the altar of the Church, the baptismal pool, and also disappeared at the top of the western facade in khachkar of 1621 were destroyed. A sign in Azerbaijani, fixed on the facade of the church (translation: Chichirevanch Albanian prayer place, 7-9 centuries), says that the holy place has become a victim of Albanian politics.

It should be noted that the monument specialist Samvel Karapetyan in 1986 recorded on the walls of the church 153 units of the cemetery of the 16th-17th centuries, reused in construction, therefore, the structure should be dated to the 17th-18th centuries. It is also known that the church was renovated in 1981 thanks to the efforts of local Armenians and, consequently, this deplorable state could only be achieved as a result of vandalism.
