A ban on hunting tarekh, which lives only in Lake Van and whose breeding period is from April 15 to July 15, has begun in Lake Van in Western Armenia. Tarekh moves to fresh water for 3 months and lays eggs. Van tarekh, who swims against the current of the water and overcomes obstacles by jumping, creates a kind of spectacle with its unusual lifestyle. The relevant authorities will carry out control work on freshwater in order to prevent fish poaching as much as possible. And we recall that until recently, tarekh was considered the only type of fish in Lake Van, but it is no longer the only one, since a new type of fish was discovered.
