Chairman of the Permanent Commission of the Greek Parliament on National Defense and Foreign Relations Konstantinos Gulekas took part in an event dedicated to the 107th anniversary of the Genocide of Armenians in Salonik. He laid a wreath at the monument to the Unknown Soldier. Regarding the event, he noted: “The ties between Greeks and Armenians are numerous and very strong. The two peoples are also connected by two genocides – the  Genocide of Armenians and the subsequent Pontic and Western Armenian Greeks”.
