On April 24, the President of the United States Joe Biden delivered a message dedicated to the 107th commemoration of the Genocide of Armenians, confirming the commitment of the American side to be attentive against the destructive influences of hatred and build a more peaceful world.
In his message, J. Biden, in particular, said: “On April 24, 1915, the Ottoman authorities in Constantinople arrested the Armenian intellectuals and community leaders. Thus, the Genocide of Armenians began – one of the worst mass pogroms of the 20th century.
Today, we remember one and a half million Armenians who were deported, killed or marched to death during the extermination campaign, and we mourn the tragic loss of so many lives.”
