
Consideration of the claim to the District Court of Constantinople in the case of the murder of the editor-in-chief of the newspaper ” Akos ” Hrant Dink has been completed. 61 accused, including former police chiefs Ali Fuat Yilmazer and Ramazan Akurek, who showed criminal negligence in the murder of Hrant Dink, were sentenced to imprisonment by the court. In March last year, decisions were made on 76 accused people. Six of them have been arrested and 13 are on the run. Among them, former police chief Ali Fuat Yilmazer and Ramazan Akurek were sentenced to life imprisonment for ” premeditated murder”. A total of 26 defendants were sentenced to various terms of imprisonment. While 37 defendants were acquitted, the cases of 13 defendants were separated due to being on the run.
