At the 7th session of the 2nd convocation of the National Assembly, the work continued in an atmosphere of active discussions and proposals. After the speech of the President of Western Armenia A. Aprahamian, the Prime Minister of Western Armenia Seda Melikyan made a speech․ Welcoming everyone, she thanked those present, briefly presenting a report on the work done by the government. She called a great success in working with such structures as the Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex, within the framework of cooperation with which they received permission to organize a commemoration ceremony for the innocent victims of the genocide on April 28.
Speaking about the composition of the government, she noted that there are 12 ministries in Western Armenia, 4 of which are under the direct control of the president. Minister of Cultural Heritage Raffi Kortoshyan has already presented the work and future plans of the ministry, from which we can single out the recent international conference in Italy, where the minister presented the Western Armenian cultural heritage. The Minister of Emergency Situations presented issues related to first aid and deportation and relocation of the population to a safe territory, which are under discussion. Minister of Science and Education Mayam Elmazyan is currently working on the preparation of distance learning courses in the Armenian language for our Turkic-speaking compatriots living in Western Armenia. Discussions with the Minister of Agriculture were organized regarding the discussion of issues related to water resources and steps aimed at solving them. As Prime Minister, Mrs. Melikyan is consistent in the work of the members of the government, in the implementation of programs.
