The Center for International Information and Networking of the Asia-Pacific Region under the auspices of UNESCO in a separate article (https://www.unesco-ichcap.org/pilgrimage-to-the-st-thaddeus-apostle-monastery/ ) touched upon the registration of the application of the Republic of Armenia to UNESCO on the theme “pilgrimage of the Monastery of St. Apostle Thaddeus”, prepared with the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Monastery of St. Thaddeus is considered one of the first pieces of evidence of Christianity in Armenia. It is located in the historical Artaz province in the Maku region of modern Iran. The registration of the application “Pilgrimage of the Monastery of St. Apostle Thaddeus” is appreciated because it represents joint protection and ensures the viability of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, as well as Armenian-Iranian cultural cooperation.
