Member of the Foreign Relations Commission of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh Aramayis Aghabekyan wrote on his Facebook page: “The visit of the Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Bocharnikov to Shushi is at least incomprehensible and puzzling. It does not proceed in the interests of the settlement of the Artsakh conflict and cannot lead to the establishment of long-term peace in the South Caucasus. The Russian Federation is one of the parties to the 2020 trilateral declaration and the guarantor of the implementation of the points of the same statement. The visit of the Russian Ambassador to Shushi does not fit into the trilateral statement of November 9, nor into the logic of the agreements reached after that. Political decision-makers in Russia should understand that for Armenians living in Artsakh, there are also red lines and unacceptable decisions, no matter which geopolitical center offers it and in what package it is going to be served”.
