The representative of the US State Department, Ned Price, during the briefing answered the question about the role of the United States in the settlement of relations between Yerevan and Baku. “We have always stated that we are ready to cooperate on a bilateral basis and with partners, including in our role as co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, to help countries achieve a long-term and comprehensive peace,” Ned Price said. “Assistant Secretary of State Karen Donfried and others had the opportunity to communicate at a high level with their Armenian and Azerbaijani counterparts. We welcomed the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan. We believe that dialogue is the best way to achieve a peaceful, democratic and prosperous future for the South Caucasus region, and we will continue to support it in all possible ways,” he said.
