Mount Dizapayt is located in the Hadrut region of Artsakh. The height is 2478 m. Dizapayt is one of the historical shrines of Artsakh. The monastery of Kataro is founded on the top, which, according to the latest data, is used by Azerbaijanis for military purposes. According to legend, many Christians died at the top of the mountain, on the site of the ancient monastery of Kataro, in the 4th century. In the 4th-5th centuries, a Katarovank (Kataro) was built on the top of the mountain. According to historical sources, the mountain has been consecrated since ancient times.
