The city of Ani was the most famous Armenian capital, the place of dreams of fathers and grandfathers, sung in songs and poetry, which have become the subject of study by historians. According to historical sources, 263 churches were built here. The best preserved Church by a whim of fate is the Church of Tigran Honentsi, the closest to the border of Armenia. The patterns and sculptures simply fascinate visitors. Inside is the spirit characteristic of the ancient Armenian churches, the Christian spirit. Turkey, as a historical and cultural wealth, received large sums from the UN many years ago to restore Ani, but the sums received were wasted, and the construction work remained unfinished.
