Iranian news agency Mehr published information about the Armenian monastery Saint Tadevos in Iran.

“Saint Tadevos Monastery is an ancient Armenian monastery located in the mountainous region of northwest Iran. The monastery, also known as Ghara Kilisa, is located about 20 kilometers from the city of Chaldoran. It is considered one of the oldest churches in the world,” Iranian media noted.

It should be recalled that in 2008 the church was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, along with St. Stephanos and Dzordzor monasteries, under the name “Armenian churches in Iran”.
