Djermatchur is a resort rich in natural hot springs, located at an altitude of 2200-2400 m above sea level. The name “thermal water” literally means “hot water”.
Djermatchur is located in the Shahumyan region occupied by the Baku authorities. The word “thermal water” means the water of an underground aquifer or spring, which has a high temperature (65°), or in other words, the hot mineral water from the earth’s crust. Azerbaijanis call the station Istisu.
