
After the February 6 earthquake in Western Armenia, more than 820,000 buildings were put out of commission. This is reported by Panorama.am.
After the completion of the damage assessment in 5 out of 11 regions, it was found that out of 1 million 706.000 buildings, 821.302 buildings were destroyed or have various degrees of damage. Therefore, we can start to get an idea of the number of potential victims.
Earlier, we learned that the number of earthquake victims has reached 48,000.
Louise Winton, permanent representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in occupied Western Armenia, announced that the economic damage of the earthquakes that occurred in early February in Western Armenia will exceed 100 billion dollars.
