An exclusive conference entitled “In support of Armenia and Artsakh” was held in the French Senate with the participation of prominent French intellectuals and parliamentarians.

The French intellectuals expressed their deep concern over the policy of hatred of Armenians and ethnic cleansing carried out continuously and openly by Azerbaijan, sounded the alarm about the ontological dangers faced by the people of Artsakh as a result of the latter, and called upon the international community to take immediate and effective measures to lift the blockade of Artsakh and to return Artsakh Armenians to their homeland in order to guarantee the right to a safe and dignified life.

At the end of the conference, the presidents of the France-Armenia friendship groups, Gilbert-Luc Devinaz and Anne-Laurence Petel, François Puponi, the president of the friendship circle with Artsakh, and Hovhannes Gevorgyan, the representative of Artsakh in France , gave closing speeches in the Senate and the National Assembly.

The deputies of the different regions of France have been in permanent contact with the president and the members of the government of Western Armenia for a long time, participating in the different events organized by Western Armenia in Armenia and in France. More recently, Mrs. Alexandra Martin, deputy of the French region of Alpe-Maritim, received the title of honorary citizen of the Republic of Western Armenia
