“Today we have become familiar with facts that were not known to us. The Lithuanian people have also gone through difficulties, but our history is not so tragic. It is necessary to live in peace, to always remember the past, to draw conclusions from it and not to let what happened to the Armenian people be repeated,” said the head of the delegation of the Seim of the Republic of Lithuania, Rimante Šalaševičiute.

On April 5, the delegation he led, accompanied by the chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs Heriknaz Tigranyan, deputies Lilit Stepanyan and Gayane Yeghiazaryan, visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial. The members of the delegation laid flowers in front of the eternal fire commemorating the victims of the Armenian genocide and silently honored the memory of the Holy Martyrs.
