Patrick Devedjian was born in Fontainebleau, France. His father is from Sebastia (Western Armenia) and his mother was born in France. Devedjian’s paternal family moved to France in 1919, at the time of the genocide against the Armenians. They were saved by their neighbor.

Patrick Devejian is a French politician, he has held several elected and appointed positions, from mayor to deputy and minister.

During the presidency of Nicolas Sarkozy, Devedjian served as a minister. He was the main candidate in the fight for the position of Minister of Justice. After President Sarkozy, he was included in the National Assembly of France as a senior representative of the “Union for a Popular Movement”.
