The new Tegh-Kornidzor road to Artsakh will be ready by the end of May. According to “Armenpress”, this was announced by the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the RA, Gnel Sanosyan, in the framework of the discussion of the report “On the progress and results of the implementation of the plan of the Government of the Republic of Armenia (2021 -2026) in 2022” in the National Assembly.

“As for the Kornidzor road, there was a certain agreement to transfer the traffic to the new road from April 1. We followed this schedule to make the road passable from April 1, which we were able to do with our builders, but not quite ready. The road will be completely ready by the end of May. A three-layer asphalt overlay is planned,” he said.

There are still retaining walls, drainage systems and a number of other things to do on the road, which the minister said will be completed by the end of May, and the road will finally be ready.

So it will be passable, it will bypass Berdzor and it will prevent access to the Aghavno valley, which is unacceptable for the government of Western Armenia.
