Representative of International Legal Affairs Yeghishe Kirakosyan submitted to the International Court of Justice on behalf of the Republic of Armenia the preliminary objections of the Republic of Armenia to the complete application filed by Azerbaijan in the case Azerbaijan v. Armenia under the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination arguing argumentatively, the rejection by the Court of most of the claims presented in the application of Azerbaijan, the lack of jurisdiction, the circumstance of their inadmissibility.

The court suspended the consideration of the merits of the case until the decision on the preliminary objections submitted by Armenia is made.

The Government of Western Armenia recalls once again that Western Armenia has applied to the European Court of Human Rights concerning the protection of the interests of forcibly displaced and dispossessed Armenians from Shushi and the condemnation of the Turkish policy of ethnic extermination against Armenians by the Baku authorities. The court has received the application prepared by the President of the Republic of Western Armenia Armenag Aprahamian and the case is being processed.
