The village of Yeghtsakhog in the Shushi region is one of the villages completely surrounded after Azerbaijan established a checkpoint.

In an interview with Tert.am, village head Artak Hakobyan said that although there is no panic among the villagers, there are fears, adding: “At present the village is cut off from Stepanakert and Goris. It’s true that we have food and medicine supplies, but I can’t say to what extent they will suffice.”

Asked whether Azerbaijan is trying to force the people of Artsakh to come to terms with living in Azerbaijan, Hakobyan said: “It can’t be, the people of Artsakh will never agree to it.”
