According to Armenpress, Hakob Srapyan writes: “Today, the ancient Armenian fortress city of Shushi, which is in captivity, which was once awarded the title of “Conservatory of Transcaucasia”, lived a cultural life, gave our people famous children: writers, famous soldiers, historians, musicians. Among the latter is the famous composer, public figure, group leader, singer and pedagogue, honored artist Daniel Ghazaryan. Many of his songs still enchant music lovers today.
One of the grateful works of the composer was the organization of a four-part singing group and an orchestra for the blind. The result of his devoted work in the development of self-made choral art was the creation of the four-part capella of the Yerevan Teachers’ House, which performed with great success in Moscow in 1945 at the All-Union Olympiad of Self-made Choirs.
The merit of Daniel Ghazaryan was highly appreciated by the famous composer Romanos Melikyan and other devotees of the music world.
