The second day of the Expert Mechanism on Indigenous Peoples on July 18 saw Azerbaijan react to the speech made by the President of the National Council of Western Armenia on Monday July 17. In particular, the Azeri delegate stated that Mr. Arménag Aprahamian’s speech consisted in the propagation of false information and false denominations to qualify the territory of Azerbaijan, that Azerbaijan was prepared to reintegrate the Armenian “minority” into its culture as part of its multi-ethnic society, and that Artsakh (Karabagh) had been recognized internationally as belonging to Azerbaijan.
