
“The commander has no right to stand behind the soldier,” said Tatul Ghazaryan, the national hero of the Republic of Armenia.
The national hero was born in 1978 in Ijevan. After graduating from Sevkar School, he was admitted to Monte Melkonyan Military College, then continued his studies at Vazgen Sargsyan Military University. In 2010-2012, he studied at the Moscow Military Academy of the Russian Federation.
In the following years, he served in various military units of the Armenian armed forces (Mehrab, Vardenis, Koghb). Since 2018, he has been the commander of the Ijevan military unit. He has received numerous state awards.
Tatul Ghazaryan died heroically during the 44-day war of 2020, pulling his wounded soldiers from the battlefield on October 19.
On January 27, 2021, Armen Sargsyan “In accordance with Article 136 of the Constitution, as well as Article 5.3, Parts 1 and 9 of the Law “On State Awards and Honorary Titles of the Republic of Armenia”. Tatul Ghazaryan was posthumously awarded the title of National Hero of Armenia and the Order of the Fatherland for his outstanding services in the defense and security of the Fatherland, his dedication and bravery during combat operations.
