A rock grave dating back to the 2nd century AD was found during the excavation  in Adıyaman. Various materials and human bones were found in the rock tomb.

During the excavation works carried out in Durankaynak locality for the irrigation canals to pass underground, the construction equipment operator realized that there was a rock grave.

Upon notification of the situation, Adıyaman Museum Directorate teams who went to the region determined that the rock grave dates back to the 2nd century AD. During the investigation, they found 3 niches, human bones, tear bottles, bracelets and earrings in the rock grave.

The materials were taken to the Museum Directorate for detailed examination.
