On its official Twitter page, the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee referred to the difficult humanitarian situation created in Artsakh as a result of Baku’s blocking of the Berdzor road. The committee called on the United States and its allies to put pressure on the Azerbaijani president.

“The International Committee of the Red Cross acted as a lifeline for Artsakh. 

Baku then cut off this last vital source of food and medicine. 

More than 7 months have passed since Baku’s blockade of Artsakh, and it is now time for the United States and its allies to put pressure on Aliyev,” says the message.

The US Senate Foreign Relations Committee added that human lives are at risk.
