The Haypress news agency addressed the following questions to the German Foreign Ministry:

1. Did Germany attend the diplomats’ visit, the purpose of which was to witness Baku’s blocking of the transport of humanitarian cargo?

2. What measures has Germany taken in this regard?

The German Foreign Ministry’s response stated:

“The Federal Government supports the EU’s efforts to establish a lasting peace between Armenia and Baku. The Federal Government is in constant contact with the representatives of Armenia and Baku in this process.. The German embassy in Yerevan is in constant contact with the Armenian government and political society, as well as with the EU mission in Armenia. With regard to the humanitarian situation in Artsakh, the embassy cooperates regularly with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), through which Germany is involved in the largest volume of humanitarian aid planned for Artsakh. Germany supports the decision of the International Court of Justice concerning the free movement of people and goods on the Berdzor road, which should ensure that the vital needs of the people of Artsakh are met.
