
Gagik Ginosyan, ethnographic dance specialist, public figure, cybernetic, participant in the first Artsakh war, was born on August 3, 1966 in the town of Akhaltskha, Javakh. He is originally from Yeghegis, a few kilometers northwest of the town of Karin in Western Armenia, where the Ginosens clan settled.
In 1972-1982, he studied at Armenian Secondary School No. 3 in Akhaltskha. He was admitted to the “Automation and Telemechanics” department of the “Technical Cybernetics” faculty at the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute, graduating in 1990.
For many years, he has danced in the “Van” and “Akunk” ethnographic dance ensembles. Involved in music collecting. He founded the traditional song-dance group “Karin”. In 1995-1996, he graduated from the “Vistrel” senior officer course named after Marshal Shaposhnikov of the Soviet Union, receiving the qualification of “regiment and brigade commander”.
He was a soldier in the “Liberation Army” detachment under the command of Leonid Azgaldyan, and in August 1992 was included in the special “Eagle Fighters” battalion. Gagik Ginoseyan has received state, departmental and other RA medals over the years.
