On October 7, the Government of Romania sent humanitarian aid to Armenia by two cargo planes, which will be transferred to internally displaced persons from Artsakh.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Armenia Cornel Ionescu and the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Ara Fidanyan received humanitarian assistance at Zvartnots airport.
The Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Armenia Cornel Ionescu is glad that his people also came to the aid of those in need.
I believe that this is proof of very open and very close relations between our countries, our peoples.
I hope that this will become a very strong bridge for our relations. In the near future, we will evacuate citizens affected by the explosion in Stepanakert to Bucharest.
I’m glad to be here to show that people can be friends and help those in need. Thank you very much,” said the Romanian Ambassador to Armenia.
Humanitarian cargo includes food and basic necessities.
