
Chief of the General Staff of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, addressed the latest events in the South Caucasus region and Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.
Noting that with the events of recent weeks, Azerbaijan has restored its territorial integrity, adding that minorities in all these territories must live peacefully and have equal rights.
According to the Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Tehran respects and appreciates the preservation of the territorial integrity of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“This is an issue that we have emphasized during our meetings and negotiations with officials of the two countries.
Therefore, we hope that by achieving complete peace, the Caucasus region will witness peace and restoration without changing the geographical and geopolitical boundaries of the region.
