American Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said at a meeting with a group of members of the American Congress that Baku could invade Armenia in the coming weeks. Le journal Politico wrote about this subject, citing two people close to the debate, who noted that Blinken had evoked an eventual invasion last week.
The telephone conversation on October 3 focused on the questions of those responsible regarding the American response to the attack on Baku and Artsakh in September. According to the newspaper, Blinken declared that the Département d’État was looking for ways to make Baku responsible and did not envisage pas prolonging the suspension of the Freedom Act. This law prohibits providing military aid to Baku, but the American administration has suspended it since 2002. The last suspension deadline expired in June and the American administration did not explain why it did not renew it. Politico considers this comme un fait révelator.
