The Czech Senate adopted a resolution regarding the humanitarian needs and situation of Armenians in Artsakh.

The resolution particularly condemns all forms of violence against the population of Artsakh and calls on all parties to the conflict to respect the fundamental norms of international humanitarian law. The document highlights the importance of providing humanitarian aid and support to people in the affected region, calling on the Czech government to be ready to provide assistance, within its capabilities, in particular to the most vulnerable people, such as women with children and unaccompanied children.

The resolution calls on Baku to allow international observers to enter Artsakh to monitor the treatment of the local population, and also calls on all parties involved to refrain from damaging Artsakh’s cultural and historical monuments and to preserve the world cultural heritage of the region.
