The Government of Eastern Armenia decided at the meeting on November 9 to allocate 120 million drams from the reserve fund of the 2023 budget for holding the autumn session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Yerevan from November 18 to 20 this year.
It should be noted that it was previously decided that this session would be held in the city of Samarkand, Uzbekistan, but in February 2023 it became clear that the government of Uzbekistan had reversed its decision to host the session for political reasons.
On June 13, Eastern Armenia sent an official letter on behalf of the Chairman of the National Assembly of Eastern Armenia to the President and Secretary General of the OSCE PA stating that the National Assembly of Eastern Armenia is ready to host the fall session in Yerevan.
The holding of the autumn session of the OSCE PA in Yerevan will be an opportunity to welcome to Eastern Armenia the delegations of the 57 member states of the structure, or around 350 deputies. During the session, the opportunity will be provided to discuss a number of issues related to the Eastern Caucasus region within the three general committees.
Members of delegations from a number of countries have already expressed their desire to organize during the session their visit to parts of the EU observation mission on the borders of Eastern Armenia.
