On November 9, the 35th Zoom meeting organized by the Election Commission of the National Assembly of Western Armenia took place. The theme of the meeting was “Parliamentary elections in Western Armenia”. During the meeting, President of the Republic of Western Armenia Armenak Abrahamya reminded that the end of the campaign is November 15, 2023.

During the question and answer session, the President of Western Armenia, Armenag Aprahamian answered the candidates’ questions. Armenag Aprahamian said he continues to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights, seeking compensation for material and physical damage caused to families forcibly displaced from Artsakh. Since 2022, Armenag Aprahamian has already collected and sent around forty applications from displaced people from Shushi. The trial concerning the latter is ongoing and the verdict will be published in early 2024.

Summing up the 35th Zoom meeting, the President noted that Western Armenia knows its rights very well, but we see that everyone in Armenia protects personal and party interests, but not state interests.
