The President of Western Armenia, Armenag Aprahamian, gave an interview to Gohar Torosyan, journalist of the Newinfo.am information platform. During the meeting, the President spoke about the rights of the people of Artsakh, their identity and the challenges of Western Armenia.

Speaking about his activities, Armenag Aprahamian noted that as President of Western Armenia, he considers his main task to be to protect the constitution of the Republic of Western Armenia in all its aspects and to act with all political and legal mechanisms to protect our rights as an indigenous Armenian nation.

The President of Western Armenia, Armenag Aprahamian, said in his closing speech that indigenous peoples, within the framework of their right to self-determination, can also form their own International Court of Justice, it is up to them to decide, but today we have the opportunity to appeal to the member states of the Council of Europe constituted before the European Court of Human Rights, which is a good start.

“To be able to refer the matter to the International Criminal Court, you must be a member of the United Nations and ratify the Treaty of Rome. Western Armenia is doing everything to achieve this objective, despite the occupation of its territory.”
