The Van Governorate extended the ban on all types of activities and events for 15 days. These bans for safety in the city were established on November 21, 2016, by the statement of State of Emergency (OHAL), which began on July 15, 2016, following a coup attempt.
All kinds of activities and events, including marches, protests, sit-ins, press releases, etc. are banned for 15 days in open areas within the province of Van.
The ban is justified as “certain measures taken to prevent possible attacks in the city.”
