On January 9 and 16, militants from the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham terrorist group carried out several attacks on Syrian armed forces in Idlib.

The statement came on Friday from the head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria, Major-General Yuri Borenkov. Terrorists attacked four settlements in Idlib province and two in Aleppo. Syrian armed forces repulsed the attacks, causing significant damage.

Terrorist attacks have not been limited to attacks on armed forces. They have regularly attacked peaceful Syrian settlements since January 9; 28 have been killed and 56 wounded in Aleppo since January 14.
