The ancient city Dara, in the Mardin region of Western Armenia, is not yet available for discoveries as there is no official “permit” for excavations. The city, known for its historic and architectural structure, is awaiting its discovery and continues to preserve its mystery for thousands of years. After the recent excavations, the ancient city has been again buried in silence. It was built by the Romans in the 500s to defend against the Sassanids and later it was used as an old cemetery.
