On May 5 was the birthday of Armen Hakhnazaryan, the founder-president of the Research on Armenian Architecture Foundation. Armen Hakhnazaryan, was a man who, ignoring the various artificial obstacles and dangers of the Turkish authorities, carried out  scientific expeditions to Western Armenia to the best of his ability. As a result, before the final loss of Armenian monuments for civilization, in many settlements and ancient sites of almost all the provinces of Western Armenia, he managed to study hundreds of architectural monuments for the first time and created unique archives.
