The works of Daniel Varuzhan, one of the greatest Western Armenian writers arrested on April 24, 1915 and sentenced to death, were translated into Turkish.

The Armenian “Aras” publishing house in Constantinople has published the collection “The Song of Bread” translated by Ohannes Shashkal.

Referring to Varuzhan’s work and the translation of the collection, the Turkish “Gazete Duvar” newspaper writes. The “Bread Singer” has turned rural life, which is the main source of livelihood, into poetry in an extremely detailed, lively and passionate language.
