The Ansir Caves, located on the historic Silk Road in the village of Buzluk, Malatia, Western Armenia, occupy an important position. Although it is not clear exactly when the caves were used by humans as shelters, there are traces of Stone Age and Hittite civilizations in the caves. Under the rocks there are three churches, about 40-50 ruins which are considered to be rooms. At the foot of the caves there is a cultural layer – a cemetery area.

Studies are underway to open Ansir Caves to visitors. Roads are being built to reach the cave area by car. Ansir Caves will also play an important role in the area of Arguvani and Arabkir Cultural Corridor.
