One person was arrested in connection with the attack on the Armenian Church of St. Gregory the Illuminator in the Scutar district of Constantinople.

The General Republican Prosecutor’s Office of Constantinople told Turkish media that an investigation had been launched into allegations of “damaging places of worship.”

After about two months of investigation, according to the court decision, the accused named D. Mazlum was sentenced to 1 year and 4 months in prison.

As we reported earlier, in May, the man brutally tore off and threw the cross on the church gates on the sidewalk. This moment of hatred was recorded by the security cameras of the church.
