The old historical houses in Kars are being destroyed one by one. According to Akunq.net, Turkish media reports about this. The Turkish media does not mention the fact that these houses belonged to Armenians, but only states that Kars was the capital during the rule of the Bagratuni dynasty, without mentioning the Armenian name.

The Turkish media do not report that those houses were abandoned after the Genocide against the Armenians, but state that “the owners simply closed the doors and left.”

The publication warns that in case no measures are taken, those houses will be completely demolished. The roofs of most of the houses in the center of Kars have collapsed, the doors and windows have been broken, and in some parts holes have been dug by thieves.

Turkish media also mention that the locals demand from the authorities to take care of those historical houses.
