The first snow of the season fell on Mount Ararat, the highest mountain in the Armenian highlands in the Aghr province of Western Armenia.

Recently, torrential rains fell on the top of the biblical mountain in the form of snow. The top is almost completely white.

Muhammed Akkush, President of the Photo, Travel, Culture and Nature Club in Igdir, said: “We perceive the snow on Mount Ararat as a sign of winter, a sign of the first step towards winter.”
